Adding Classes

Students who have no holds that block registration may add classes through myZou before the posted deadlines.

If a class is full or requires consent, the student must get a permission number from the appropriate department to add the class.

Only problems, special readings, internships, grad exam or research may be added after the expiration of one week following the first day of classes in a fall or spring semester, or an equivalent period of time in a shorter session.

A student who wants to add a class after the deadline must complete the Late Course Additions form, receive approval from your academic advising office and submit it to the Office of the University Registrar before the last day to late-register.

Time Conflict

If a student wants to enroll in a course that has a time conflict with another course, the student must fill out a Late Course Additions form and attach an email from the instructor(s) of the overlapping course(s) verifying that it is acceptable for the student to enroll in the course(s).

Credit Hour and Section Changes

Students who want to change sections or credit hours on an enrolled course should complete the Late Section and Credit Hour Changes form. View tips and tricks for this form here.

Self-Paced Classes

For self-paced classes, students may enroll beginning at the start of the early registration period for that term of enrollment and ending the day before the start of early registration for the next term of enrollment.

Exception: During the summer term, enrollment ends on the summer census day.

info_outlinePosted deadlines apply only to full-semester and full-term classes. Check the dates on the class section within myZou for part-of-term, eight-week and self-paced classes.
