I have not received my diploma in the mail, what are the next steps?

It can take approximately 6 – 8 weeks post commencement for all diplomas to be printed and mailed to graduates through USPS. However, if that date has passed, there are a few steps that can be followed to determine where your diploma may be located.

First, verify the address you listed on your Graduation Application. You can check this address through myZou by selecting the ‘View Graduation Status’ menu. If the address is correct, please contact our office here so we can research further for you.

If the address shown in myZou is not current, please try contacting your local post office to see if the diploma was delivered to the displayed address, and to have your mail forwarded to your new address, if necessary.

Feel free to contact our office here if you are unsure what address may have been used for mailing your diploma.

Where can I get a frame or diploma cover for my diploma?

Graduates will be provided with a diploma cover at the commencement ceremony.

If you would like to purchase a frame or other commencement related items, please visit the Mizzou bookstore website.

My diploma was damaged in transit; how can I obtain a new one?

We are sorry to hear this was your experience. Please contact our office here so we can assist you with ordering a new copy, at no charge. We will need you to attach a photo of your damaged diploma.

I selected to pick up my diploma, but I was unable to retrieve it before the deadline. Can I still pick it up in office?

If the date has passed for you to pick up your diploma, we will not have it in office. Diplomas that are not picked up are mailed to the address listed on the graduation application (U.S. address only). If you have additional questions concerning where your diploma was mailed, please contact our office here.

Can I request another person to pick up my diploma?

Yes, this is an option. To make this request, please reach out to our office here, with the name of who will pick up your diploma. Please note that we will need to see this individual’s photo ID, at the time of pickup.

My current address is different than what I provided in my graduation application, how can I make the appropriate updates?

You can change your diploma address through myZou by selecting the ‘View Graduation Status’ menu. The deadline for making this change is the same as the last date to withdrawal from the term. This date can be located in the Academic Calendar .

If this deadline has passed, feel free contact our office for additional assistance.

I paid off my account balance; how can I obtain my diploma?

We are notified weekly when diplomas holds are lifted. However, please feel free to contact our office to notify us that your balance has been paid so that we can also obtain a current mailing addresss.
