Frequently Asked Questions

What is Stellic?

Stellic is the new mydegreeplanner tool. It’s designed to help you take control of your academic journey at Mizzou. With the Stellic Planner, you can:

  • Create multi-term plans by dragging and dropping courses directly from your degree audit.
  • Visualize your path to graduation with a term-by-term layout.
  • Explore your options using the What-If feature to see how your courses apply to different majors, minors, or certificates.
  • Track your graduation progress in real time

It’s an easy way to stay organized, plan ahead, and make sure you’re on track with your goals.

You’ll log in through the direct link to Stellic: www.stellic.missouri.edu.  Use your Mizzou credentials to sign in. You can also access this via myZou Request Degree Audit.

Not yet. We’re starting with undergraduate students but graduate and professional are coming!

A degree audit is a tool that helps you track your progress toward graduation. In Stellic, there are two types of audit views available. The Official Audit Progress shows only the courses you’ve already completed or are currently registered for. The Planned Audit Progress includes those courses, plus any future courses you’ve mapped out in Stellic—giving you a fuller picture of your academic plan.

That’s a great part about Stellic. You can see all of your credentials on one screen. You can also see if an exception has been requested or if your advisor makes notes on your plan.

Don’t panic! Stellic pulls information from myZou on a one-day delay, so recent updates—like a change of major or newly enrolled courses—may not appear until the next day. If something still looks off after 24 hours connect with your Academic Advisor. They can help review the issue and determine whether the audit is displaying correctly. If needed, your advisor can work with the Registrar’s Office to make any necessary corrections.

Stellic updates from myZou overnight. It may take up to 24 hours for changes to display in Stellic.

No. Stellic does use data within myZou, but it presents enrollment, degrees, courses, etc., in a more digestible and understandable format. If you have been using the audit available in mydegreeplanner, this is being replaced by Stellic.

The Stellic Planner is designed to help students make multi-semester plans. The Planner allows you to drag & drop classes from official degree audit requirements into a visual term-by-term layout. The Planner also allows you to explore different or additional programs at Mizzou using the what if feature.

No. Stellic is a planning tool. While you will be able to view your degree requirements and drag and drop future courses into your plan to see what is possible, you still need to contact or meet with your advisor to confirm that your plan will meet all graduation requirements.

Unmatched courses are ones that may not be counting for specific degree requirements. Review your Track Progress page to see if the course is being applied to any requirements in your degree audit. Check with your advisor with any questions you have about where your courses are appearing in the audit.

This fall, undergraduate students will be able to set up their schedules and register for spring 2026 courses in Stellic

Absolutely. Stellic uses a secure login and protects your academic data in line with university privacy standards.

You have a few options!

Beginning in fall 2025, students enrolled in accelerated master’s programs and their advisors will begin to use Stellic. The planning underway for the undergraduate implementation and lessons learned through the fall semester will inform the approach to the expansion to graduate and professional schools. Maintaining one degree audit system assures accuracy and compliance within our institution and our tool of choice, Stellic, provides this system for all undergraduate, graduate and professional programs.
