If a student wishes to drop a course after the last day to drop a course without a grade, the process is referred to as withdrawing from a course. To withdraw from a course, a students must begin in his or her academic advising unit by completing the course withdrawal form.
A student who officially withdraws from a course after the last day to drop a course without a grade and who is doing failing work will be assigned the grade F. If the quality of the student’s work is not judged to be failing at the time of withdrawal, the grade W will be assigned. The grade generally will not appear until all grades for the course are submitted at the end of the semester.
